Sunday. Open the
persiane. Blue sky. January sun. Crisp and clear. Birds chirping.
This calls for a day out. Wake up, everyone!

What are we up to this time? Never get a chance to oversleep!

Everyone else seems to get ready for a
giro. Trekking, biking, paragliding, rafting… Let’s plan our day.
Fare quattro passi

Why not stroll, the
Trevi alleys? Let’s call friends
per fare quattro passi.
Trevi, a medieval hill-top jewel with the most stunning views of the endless olive groves,
oliveti, and further on
Spoleto and
Montefalco. Silvery green olive trees, producing a heavenly
extra vergine, our daily elixir.

The town is currently undergoing a thorough renovation project. The earthquakes,
terremoti, in 1997, damaged parts of the
centro storico.

And look at the city walls now! Literally glittering.

Noble houses wake up from their torpor…

A monastery wall. Still asleep…

Private homes. Carefully restored. Patinous facing. Walls in a pink tint – the earth colour pigment, typical of this area.

Our stomachs – our autopilots – gear us towards an
osteria at one o’clock sharp. After a long
pranzo it is time to slow down.

Before we say "
a la prossima", I take a photo of one of the
agave plants, thriving in the afternoon sun.
There will be more about
Trevi and her neighbouring hill-top
gioielli. There is so much to more to explore.
Buon week-end e tante belle cose ! Ingrid

Cara Patricia,
The Umbrian sky is particularly blue, especially this time of the year. No haze! Bacione, Ingrid
