Houses, and Sharing Love

A busy week. Accompanied a family on their hunt for a house in Umbria.

Houses with and without pools. Convents and tower buildings. Restored or under reconstruction.

Scouting in the different areas. From Lake Trasimeno to the hills of Spoleto and Todi. Going up and down. Turning left and right.

Looking for panoramas and views.

Walking in and out of doors.

Looking for antique details…

Afternoon temperatures rising. 34 degrees. Stopping at holes in the wall. A cool drink in the shade.

House hunting is so much more than searching “just like that”. It is a love affair. So we make it a tour…

stopping at the cantine for the best wines, the top-quality extra vergine and local cheeses

pausing to take a look at a temple or an abbey,

enjoying the delicatessen of our region. No love, no house!

Buon week-end to you all. I am off for a pizza oven party. Bacione, Ingrid

Det låter som ett trevligt nöje det;) Husletande, ja det skulle jag också vilja hänge mig åt...kanske i Italien.
Som vanligt så förföriska bilder! Så vackert du har runt omkring dig!
Ha en riktigt skön helg!

I think we need to hire you to sell our house! Our other agents done't seem to be doing much good, and it looks like you show your friends/clients a good time while house-hunting! We're on the other side of the E45, but still in the neighborhood!

Cara Vale,
Thanks for sweet comment. I would not mind going house hunting in the Lucca area. Fantastic architecture and beautiful settings! Have to one of these days! Bacione, and you too have a nice weekend! Ingrid

Cara Barbara,
You are all too kind. Thank you for your compliments. And you are so right about agencies (in general). Poor (photo) documentation, and the all too common "car ride". Agree with you. Buying a house is so much more. The house, the region, the local people, the ambiente... must all speak to your heart. An investment - not only in money, but also in sentiments. Everything has to click! Are you in S. Venzano right now? Bacione, Ingrid

you don't sell houses Ingrid...you sell dreams.

I don't think you should call yourself "an agent".

Leave that title for those who don't understand what business they are in ;-)

Ditto on the name 'agent' ... I like your way of house hunting... house and love... a way of life. Lovely post! Poetic and a great way of showing who you are and what you can give to those shoping for their dream home. What a lovely part of the world you live in! Love the photo of the little girl!

Cara Ingrid,
I'm back with my harvest of antique finds, it's been a beautiful trip filled with amazing experiences of a rich culture at Dalarna.

I hope I one day will be house hunting in Italy...perhaps with you!

Well that sounded like a great home hunting! Never known to be so stress-free... ehi I am glad you are adopting the style, there is nothing that gets done in Italy without a bit of passion, food and a laid back approach...I hope you and your family have enjoyed the day, i am sure there will be something that will just scream to them: i am the one!Well thanks for sharing the experience, the photos look stunning!

Caro Michael, Cara Carol,

How good it is to be blogging. Friend with a fruitful perspective. It never ocurred to me. Of course "agent" does not at all correspond to what I do. Thanks for signalling! Bacione, Ingrid

Cara Ingela,
I suppose you will serve appetizing posts in the weeks to come. Looking forward to seeing your findings! And, oh but do come! I will reveal all my umbrian mysteries. You will never forget! Bacione, Ingrid

Cara Mandarine,
Knew you would indentify with my passione. And, yes, we did see some lovely objects. And, above all, Umbria sembrava piacevole! Bacione, Ingrid

Härligt att få en doft, en aning, av Italien hos dig. Jag vill dit igen. Här är det bara 13 grader och blåst idag. Just idag, alltså!

Buon viaggio!
